About this course

Blockchain is a disruptive technology that is profoundly transforming multiple sectors—much like the internet did two decades ago. The ecosystem is rapidly taking shape, with new players emerging and paving the way for innovative business models.

Once marginal at the dawn of the crypto industry, decentralized finance (DeFi) now relies on blockchain technologies to become a leading force within this ecosystem. Blockchain offers transparency, trust, speed, and above all, decentralization in asset transfers and cash flow management—fundamentally reshaping the norms of traditional finance.

The program is co-directed by Daniel Augot and Julien Prat, both professors and researchers at École Polytechnique, and holders of the Blockchain & B2B Platforms Chair.

This DeFi training program provides professionals with the knowledge and tools to understand the challenges, mechanisms, advantages, and limitations of this technology. It is designed to equip them with the skills needed to succeed in an innovative and constantly evolving ecosystem.
