About this course
A self study course about the WAsP standard and software application (Wind Atlas Analysis and Application Program) for wind ressource assesment. WAsP Software is the industry-standard for wind resource assessment and wind farm planning. WAsP Software is used for sites located in all kinds of terrain all over the world, and includes models and tools for every step in the process from wind data analysis to site assessment and calculation of the energy yield for a wind farm. The course will have to be completed within 8 weeks to receive the certificate of participation.
Learning outcomes
After the WAsP Self Study course you will be able to: - calculate the energy yield for single wind turbines and wind farms; - calculate the efficiency of a wind farm, map wind resources and turbulence; - assess complex terrain sites; - assess offshore wind farms; - calculate wind conditions for IEC site assessment for individual wind turbines in a wind farm.
