About this course
The role and opportunities of sustainable and value-creating entrepreneurship in a changing economic environment, analysis of the business environment. Trends in the development of business opportunities. Customer-centricity and journey mapping, changing values and communication. Development of a value proposition into a business model. Technology and business model innovation. Ethical view of the business model, values and social responsibility. Financial projection of a business project - cost price, break-even and ability to read financial statements. Entrepreneurship - science or art? Overviews of research areas in the field of entrepreneurship. Reflection - we develop entrepreneurial competencies through the course, incl. teamwork, creativity, planning skills up to metacognition and self-management. Assessing the advancement.

Learning outcomes
After completing this course, the student:
- understands the role of growth mindset and entrepreneurial competences in entrepreneurship and areas for own development; understands the entrepreneurial process and its interdisciplinary nature;
- knows and analyses the business environment and opportunities from the perspective of sustainability;
- is orienting in marketing principles and basic financial literacy in business model context with ability of evaluate simpler marketing strategies and the company's general financial situation;
- can create a business model with initial cost and break-even point calculations;
- develops own entrepreneurial competences, incl. teamwork, creativity, planning skills - self-management.
Examination
Final assessment can consist of one test/assignment or several smaller assignments completed during the whole course. After declaring a course the student can re-sit the exam/assessment once.
