About this course

Elementary functions. Range and domain of the functions. Algebraic expressions. Equations and systems of equations. The derivative of a function. Percentage.

Learning outcomes

The student will

  1. know the elementary functions, ranges and domains of the elementary functions;
  2. be able to draw the graphs of the elementary functions;
  3. be able to transform algebraic expressions;
  4. be able to solve the equations, inequalities, and system of equations considered in the course;
  5. know the differentiation rules, and be able to differentiate functions, including the composite function;
  6. know the basic type of percentage exercises, and be able to solve them.

Examination

Final assessment can consist of one test/assignment or several smaller assignments completed during the whole course. After declaring a course the student can re-sit the exam/assessment once. Assessment can be graded or non-graded. For specific information about the assessment process please get in touch with the contact person of this course. Course requirements

The course has a duration of 4 weeks and consists of a weekly schedule that includes 8 hours of exercise classes.
