About this course
Elementary functions. Range and domain of the functions. Algebraic expressions. Equations and systems of equations. The derivative of a function. Percentage.
NB! This course will take place in spring semester 2024/2025 which starts on 3rd of February and ends on 16th of June (you can find that information under Start date section). The real course start and end dates will be announced at the beginning of February at the latest.
Learning outcomes
The student will
- know the elementary functions, ranges and domains of the elementary functions;
- be able to draw the graphs of the elementary functions;
- be able to transform algebraic expressions;
- be able to solve the equations, inequalities, and system of equations considered in the course;
- know the differentiation rules, and be able to differentiate functions, including the composite function;
- know the basic type of percentage exercises, and be able to solve them.
Examination
Final assessment can consist of one test/assignment or several smaller assignments completed during the whole course. After declaring a course the student can re-sit the exam/assessment once. Course requirements
The course has a duration of 4 weeks and consists of a weekly schedule that includes 8 hours of exercise classes.
